A Bit About Me

I’m Dr. Rebecca DiVerniero, founder of Sattva Yoga & Wellness, where my mission is to help people reduce stress and manage anxiety through evidence-based coaching and holistic practices.

With a Ph.D. in Interpersonal Communication (2010) and over 22 years of teaching in higher education, I’ve spent much of my career studying social anxiety and communication challenges. This research informs the supportive, practical tools I share with clients today.

In addition to my academic background, I’m a certified yoga teacher with over 500 hours of training, including a 200-hour certification (2020), trauma-informed yoga (2022), and 300-hour advanced certification (2023). I’ve worked with adults of all ages to use yoga as a pathway to calm, confidence, and resilience.

To further support stress relief, I trained in assisted stretching (2023) and became Reiki Level I & II certified (2025), blending movement, energy, and communication science to help clients feel more grounded and at ease.
