✨ Body-based Nervous System Support for Overwhelmed Adults — In Pittsburgh + Online ✨
Assisted Stretching for Nervous System Support
Private, hands-on sessions to help overwhelmed adults release tension and find ease

If you’re used to being productive, busy, and focused — your body often tells a different story. Shoulders stay tight after the workday, your jaw clenches even when you’re “off,” and your back remembers every deadline.
Assisted Stretching at Sattva meets you where your nervous system is: activated, tense, ready for release. In a private, caring session just for you, you’ll receive targeted, hands-on stretches designed to loosen the physical ‘armor’ your body uses to hold stress. No complicated routines, no performance demands — just real ease.
In-person only in Etna, PA
Why Assisted Stretching?

-
Release the tension you didn’t know you were holding. Many adults carry stress in their bodies long after the work ends.
-
Improve mobility & range of motion — not just for workouts, but for daily life (sitting, standing, turning, relaxing).
-
Deeply reduce stress & muscle stiffness. Assisted stretching helps the nervous system learn that the body is safe enough to let go of tension — easing chronic muscle holding patterns and supporting calm regulation.
-
This is not about performance or flexibility for the sake of it — it's about giving yourself permission to unwind and reset.

-
What you’ll receive:
A full body assessment to identify where your tension lives (neck, shoulders, jaw, spine)
Hands-on guided stretches to release these hold-points, increase mobility, and ease the nervous system
Techniques you can borrow between sessions to keep your body from going right back into locked mode
A calming, rest-oriented space that feels like a pause — not another task.
Ideal for:
-
Anyone whose body feel heavy from productivity, whose mind won’t stop, whose muscles hold their stories of stress — even when the calendar says “free time.”
**Many clients arrive after completing physical therapy but still want support maintaining their mobility, reinforcing movement gains, and staying accountable to their bodies. This work is not physical therapy, but it can be a supportive continuation of care for clients who want guided, hands-on support after discharge.

Rebecca is amazing. I have been going to her for many months and it is definitely life-changing.
I strongly recommend getting stretched as often as possible!

*customer since 2024*
As a supplement to physical therapy, I started seeing Rebecca at Sattva Wellness for assisted stretching services. I saw a marked improvement in the reduction of pain I was experiencing from an injury and, I believe, the sessions with Rebecca helped me to progress through my recovery quicker than physical therapy alone.

FAQs
1. What should I wear?
Comfy, stretchy clothing—joggers/leggings, a t-shirt, and socks.
2. Do I need a certain fitness level?”
No. This is built for adults whose lives are full — tight muscles and busy schedules welcome. I meet you exactly where you are.
3. Will this hurt?
No. You may feel sensation or relief, but not pain. We will communicate consistently during the entire session to make sure the stretches never become painful.
4. Is this physical therapy or medical care?
While I work with hands-on stretching techniques often used in rehab and mobility work, this service is not just rehab. It’s about proactive release and rest for bodies that carry more than their minds realize. If you have a recent injury or condition, we’ll work together to determine what’s appropriate
5. What are your credentials?
Rebecca has multiple stretching certifications (National Academy of Sports Medicine & YogaBody) and has successfully served dozens of clients since 2023.
5. How often should I come?
Scientific research on assisted stretching shows that once a week is ideal, though if that is not realistic for your schedule or your budget, we'd highly recommend twice per month to achieve and maintain positive results. Consistent sessions help reinforce nervous system regulation over time.
5. What kind of results should I expect, and when?
Everyone is unique, though there are some guiding factors, such as your goals, the frequency of your visits, whether you have any injuries, and whether you stretch at home between sessions. Generally, clients feel better in their bodies during the first session; for lasting change and nervous-system recalibration, we recommend consistent sessions over time
