A calming blend of yin and restorative yoga created to

support deep rest, stress relief, and nervous system restoration.

Registration closes two hours prior to event.

To preserve the calm environment, no late entry is allowed. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early.

Stretch & Rest is a small-group yoga experience that blends long-held, supported stretches with deeply restful restorative poses.

This class is intentionally slow-paced and designed for anyone who feels tense, overstimulated, or in need of space to soften and reset.

​

No prior yoga experience is required.

What to Expect

We’ll begin with time to arrive and settle before moving into gentle, long-held stretches that support gradual release.

The second half of class focuses on restorative poses that invite deep rest, allowing your body space to integrate and unwind.

You are always encouraged to adjust, rest, or opt out of any shape — this is a space centered on comfort rather than intensity.

1. Where should I park?

​

This is a residential location, so anywhere you see a spot on Elizabeth Street or Mount Hope Street is fine. No permit required. 

​

2. Do I need prior yoga experience?

​

No experience is necessary. This class is slow-paced, fully supported, and designed to be accessible for beginners as well as those with an established practice.

​

3. What should I bring?

​

All props are provided, including a yoga mat if you don't have one.. You’re welcome to bring anything that helps you feel comfortable, such as water, socks, or an extra layer for warmth during the restorative portion of class.

​

4. When should I arrive?

​

Check-in is available up to 20 minutes before the event begins. Please plan to arrive 5–10 minutes early so you can settle in comfortably before we begin. 

​

5. What if I have a previous injury or physical concern?

​

This class emphasizes gentle stretching and rest rather than intensity. If you have an injury or concern, you’re always welcome to modify or skip any shape. Listening to your body is encouraged. You're also welcome to contact me beforehand to discuss your concerns.

6. Will there be hands-on assists?

​

Optional hands-on support may be offered. Consent cards will be available so you can clearly communicate your preference, and choosing no touch is always respected.

7. What is your cancellation policy?

​

Refunds are available up to 7 days before the event. After that time, tickets are non-refundable but may be transferable to a future class if space allows.

What is Yoga Nidra?

Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation practice sometimes described as “yogic sleep” — a deeply restorative state between waking and sleeping where the body can rest while the mind remains gently aware.

​

During this practice, you’ll be guided through breath awareness, body awareness, visualization, and nervous system downshifting designed to help release tension and quiet mental overwhelm.

Yoga Nidra is for anyone who...

​

  • feels mentally overwhelmed or overstimulated

  • struggles to slow down or rest

  • carries stress and tension in the body

  • feels burned out or emotionally depleted

  • has difficulty relaxing even when they have time to rest

  • is curious about meditation but find traditional meditation difficult

1. What should I bring?

Just bring yourself, dressed in something comfortable. Yoga mats, blankets, bolsters, and other props will be provided to help you feel supported.

2. What should I wear?

​

               Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to fully relax. Cozy layers and warm socks are                    encouraged, as the body temperature can drop during deep rest practices.

​

3. Do I need yoga or meditation experience?

​

              Not at all. This experience is beginner-friendly and designed to be accessible whether                      you’re brand new to meditation or have an existing practice.

4. What exactly is Yoga Nidra?

​

             Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation practice sometimes described as “yogic sleep.” You’ll                  be guided through breath awareness, body awareness, visualization, and deep rest while              resting comfortably in a supported position.

5. Do we exercise during this event?

​

           For Yoga Nidra, most of the practice takes place lying down or resting comfortably with                props. There is little to no physical movement required.

6. What if I can't quiet my mind?

​

           That’s completely normal. Yoga Nidra is not about stopping your thoughts or “doing meditation perfectly.” You are still benefiting from the practice even if your mind wanders.
